Ordering food delivery is easier today than ever before. Growing up the only foods that could be delivered were pizza, Chinese food, and maybe a sub sandwich.

Of course with food delivery options like Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Grub Hub more restaurants are able to offer delivery without having to employ their own fleet of drivers.

As these services were gaining traction, COVID injected fuel into the food delivery landscape allowing people to remain at home and still get yummy restaurant food.

I have been an Uber Eats driver for just over 1 week, and in that time I noticed 3 things that can make or break a meal with any delivery service.

Tip 1: Tip Upfront

For the first-time Uber Eats user, this may seem silly. Why tip before I get my meal? What if the service is bad?

Well, let me tell you, on the driver's end when we accept a job we see the total upfront, combined tip and Uber fees. So when I get an order that says — $3.00 for 20-minute delivery, 5 miles away — I click the decline order button and let someone else pick it up, or…
