College is Only A Waste of Money If You are a Privileged Turd
Don’t listen to the naysayers, college is worth it
You see it all of the time:
- Instagram posts with a picture of a man in a Ferrari below the car it says, “Educated on the streets…worth $1 billion…you don’t need collage. (sic)” Or something like that.
- Articles like this: https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/millennials-college-not-worth-student-loan-debt-2019-4
- Tweets with a picture of Einstien next to Zuckerburg, “School trains you to be a factory worker, I want to own the factory!”
Posts and articles like these litter the web, it seems like all successful people have figured it out. The education system sucks, learn from life.
The thing is these people are either faking it until they make it, or they are Privileged Turds (PTs) tooting their own horn. The reality is that college is still one of the most viable ways to leave generational poverty.
However, making college worth it is not a passive task, you have to work at making college work for you. If you aren’t willing to put in the work, like anything else, college will be a waste of money and time.
