I mean, I pay less in mortgage payments now than I did on rent 7 years ago...my rate is 2.75 and my house appraised at double what we bought it for 6 years ago....it is all relative...but one thing is for sure, renters have little control over the price of rent while my mortgage will essentially remain unchanged until I pay it off...
