I think a lot of this depends on your parents and your relationship with them. For me it didn’t work out, my parents wanted to keep rules similar to how they were in high school, I wanted freedom.

I also would feel bad if I were bringing in money yet my parents were still left to pay all of the bills. I guess I always figured as a student it was ok because I couldn’t work full time, but as an adult I would feel the need to help pay for my share.
