3 reasons why your headline doesn’t matter
First of all, can we talk about the fact that I have never seen this photo in any other articles? What is wrong with you people, it is easily my favorite so far! It also fits with my title, so why not use it!
But all of that aside, what I really want to talk about is 3 reasons why your headline doesn’t matter, which are:
- Digital natives screen bullshit clickbait automatically.
- 99% of what you come up with already exists.
- You don’t get paid for views anyway.
So let’s get right down to it because introductions aren’t really necessary, right?
Digital natives are experts at screening clickbait
Young people (and some not so young anymore) have been surfing the web their entire lifetime. They are experts at recognizing scams and clickbait, it is tough to get clicks from your headline alone.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t put thought into your headline, you may just stop trying to be so cute with it and don’t waste a ton of time writing one. Your headline isn’t what is going to pull your readers in, it is the content that you are presenting behind…
