The One Map Europeans Need to See to Understand America

Most Europeans don’t get America, this explains why

For many Europeans, America is an enigma. I see it on most article writing sites and in click-baity listicles, they do not understand why we love guns, why we are so poorly traveled, have such a bad healthcare system, and how such a well-developed nation can have such a poorly educated population.

The answer to most of these questions can be found by looking at the map above.

Many Europeans view America as the same size as an individual European country and they just cannot grasp how diverse and different the people of the USA are from coast to coast.

Guns

I am not a gun-loving American, but to understand America you have to understand just how wide open and alone portions of the country are and, if living in these locations you likely are your best form of protection. This isn’t to say that we don’t have a gun problem, we do, but there are legitimate reasons, caused by space, for Americans to be armed.
